In 1523, the family moved to Vicenza, where Andrea, after making the stonemason in Padua,

Between 1535 and 1538 Andrea meets Count Giangiorgio Vicenza Trissino while working in the yard of his suburban villa Cricoli.

ย Giangiorgio Trissino, poet and humanist, takes him under his protection giving him the nickname of Palladio, guides him through his cultural education and the study of classical culture.
ย In these years Palladio made his first significant works such as the villa of Gerolamo Godi in Lugo di Vicenza.

In the Palladian Basilica ‘s, architect, having to match the openings of the loggia with those of the former Gothic building, combines brilliantly arches and side beams and playing on the change in length of this past comes to the objective of maintaining a beautiful harmony together.

This style, as well as that of his villas, located emulate in every country of the world, from England to Louisiana … the same White House and the Capitol in Washington are clearly designed in the Palladian style.

Casa Bianca
Admired by masters of the art and literature (he was the favorite architect of Goethe), himself the author of works on art and in particular on architecture, Andrea Palladio died at 72 in 1580.
