Pierre Fernandez Arman
Born in Nice in 1928, Arman Pierre Fernandez ….

…. , A pupil de l ‘Ecole d’ Art Décoratif and de l ‘Ecole du Louvre,
he devoted himself to painting at first.
In the early 60s the artistic style of Arman however, undergoes a radical change
And in this period that fact in his works, become three-dimensional, he inserts objects often destroyed.

He is named among the leading exponents of “New Realism” art movement that tells the man through everyday objects: shoes ….

… Watches …

… Musical instruments …

… Typewriters …

… Tools …

… Coins, toys etc.
Often these particular accomplishments want to express, among other concepts, our civilization taken into gear consumerism …

He realizes more and more targeted works such as accumulations of identical objects arranged in a geometric way with order and elegance.
Cars ….
… And musical instruments …

… remain among his favorite subjects.
He himself has defined as “a painter who makes sculpture”.
Died in New York in 2005, Arman is buried at Père-Lachaise cemetery in Paris.
On his grave it is written a mocking inscription “Enfin seul!” (Finally alone !)
His works are exhibited all over the world.
